To: All Japanese staff members and candidates for international organizations.
The International Monetary Fund’s Tokyo Office is seeking a junior economist to work as a part of an international team on a variety of assignments, including monitoring macroeconomic and financial developments in Japan and in Asia, and research on current issues.
The position is a non-renewable three-year appointment.
The successful applicant will have an advanced degree (at least Master’s) and/or research experience in macroeconomics, finance, or a related field.
Familiarity with the Japanese and other major economies in Asia is a plus.
Must be fluent in English and Japanese, able to write high quality reports in English, multitask under pressure, and be proficient in data management and analysis with strong PC skills.
Salary will be commensurate with background and experience.
